Carlton Gilbert Peppers, Sr. known as "Gil" was born in 1939 to Howard and Pearl Peppers and was one of twelve children. He was a loving husband to his wife Evelyn Peppers of fifty-seven plus years, they had five children, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Gil was known for his kindness, generosity, unique sense of humor, his faith and also his passionate devotion to his wife and children. He fully enjoyed all of lifes simple pleasures like hunting, fishing, telling jokes, watching baseball and most of all spending time in the company of those he loved. Gil had a love of football while playing at Suwannee High School which led to playing in College for the Army. While playing in College he had an injury that sidelined him after three years of playing. After college Gilbert and Evelyn Peppers opened up Peppers Paint Store for twenty years that followed opening and owning three childcare facilities. Gilbert was a man of great respect and integrity, who will truly be missed by his family , friends and community. The viewing honoring Carlton Gilbert Peppers, Sr. will be held on Thursday, February 15th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Daniels Funeral Home located at 1126 Ohio Ave N, Live Oak, FL 32064. A service celebrating Gil's life will be held on Friday, February 16th at 1:00 pm at Westwood Baptist Church located at 920 11th Street SW, Live Oak, FL.
