Mrs. Carrie J. Boatright, age 83 of Live Oak, Florida, passed away March 1, 2017. She was born May 22, 1933 to James A and Ruby L Jackson, of Lakeland, Florida. She moved with her family to the Clayland Community at age ten. She married the late Ross Lavaughn (Tony) Boatright, farmer, at the age of sixteen and worked by his side for the next sixty-one years until his death in 2010. Carrie was a loving mother, grandmother, homemaker, licensed practical nurse and lifelong Sunday School teacher at Clayland Baptist Church. She was a living example of 1 John 3:18, "My little children let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and truth."
Carrie is survived by five children: Regina Edwards of Wetumpka, Alabama, Suzanne Krejcar of Cullman, Alabama, and Michael Boatright, Keith Boatright and Anthony Boatright of Live Oak. She is survived by one sister, Theresa Boatwright of Lakeland, Florida and three brothers, James Jackson of Archer, Glen Jackson of Lakeland and Ira Jackson of Mayo. Carrie is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Clayland Baptist Church at 3pm on Sunday, March 5th and funeral services will follow at 4pm.
