Clarence's Story

Clarence Driggers, 84 of Live Oak, passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017 in the Lake City V.A. Medical Center, Lake City, FL, following a long illness. Mr. Driggers was born in Jasper, FL on April 13, 1932 to L. C. & Eva Morgan Driggers. He moved to Live Oak in 1954 from Jasper. He was a U S Army Veteran of the Korean War. For over 30 years he was a Barber, starting in the Five Points Barber Shop, Live Oak. He was also a member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church, Live Oak.
He is survived by his son Clark & Angela Driggers of Live Oak; three sisters, Clarie Welch of Port St. Joe, FL, Evelee Parker of Perry, FL and Martha Ann Jackson of Live Oak; four brothers, Ray Driggers and Morris Driggers both of Live Oak and Mike Driggers and Russell Driggers both of Jasper; grandson, Paul Messer, two great grandchildren, Caliegh and Harland. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Clark Driggers.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Philadelphia Baptist Church with Rev. Wilbur Wood, Rev. Leroy Dobbs and Rev. Josh Wynn officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
