David E. Tedder, 82, Live Oak, passed away on February 1, 2017 following a long illness. The Sanford, NC native moved to Live Oak in 1990 from Ft. Myers, FL. David was a member of the National Guard. He also was the owner/operator of Tedder & Sons. He was a member of the Live Oak Church of God, where he was involved in the Church of God 'Men of Action.' They were active in missions to Ecuador, Haiti & Alaska.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, M. Joyce Tedder, Live Oak, FL; daughter, Lisa J Wright (Brad), Ft. Myers, FL; son, Marty Tedder (Marsha), Live Oak, FL; sisters, Jeri Joyner (Alvin), Mary Jane (Wayne) Williams, Judy Lowdermilk (Rev. Homer); brother, Rev. Paul Tedder (Candy); five grandchildren, Amber Davis, Tyler Wright, Bethany Wright, Blake Tedder, Colby Tedder; two great-grandchildren, Braelyn and Bailey.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kendall David Tedder; parents, Ralph W. and Bessie Tedder; two sisters, Darlene Haganbuck, Wanda Nobles and brother, Ralph W. Tedder, Jr.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2017. Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Live Oak Church of God with Rev. Greg Richie & Rev. Marty Tedder officiating. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
