George Rebmann, 89, of Tampa, FL passed away on Thursday, Sep. 29, 2016. George was born in Richmond Hill Queens, NY and was a proud member of the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from W.T. Edwards Tuberculosis Hospital, Tampa, FL as the Superintendent of Maintenance after 21 years of service. Mr. Rebmann was an active volunteer at the Suwannee Valley Humane Society, and Millcreek Farms, a retirement home for horses. He was of the Presbyterian Faith.
Mr. Rebmann is survived by his loving wife of 48 years: Joan Rebmann; daughters: Gloria (James) Carper, Odessa, FL; Margaret Shea, Long Island, NY; step-daughter: Cindy (Bob) Smith, Zephyrhills, FL; step-son: John (Janet) Ballard, Evans, Ga; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida with military honors.
