Feb. 5, 2019 Hansel C. 'Bubba' Ross, 86, of Branford, FL went to be with our Lord and Savior Tuesday, February 5, 2019. Mr. Ross lived all of his life in Branford where he led an active and productive life. He owned and operated Ross Brothers Farm & Ranch with his brother for many years, and served as a Suwannee County Commissioner. Mr. Ross was a member of the Branford Sportsman Club, served on the Board of Directors for Farm Credit for over 16 years, and was a member of First Baptist Church, Branford, FL. He also proudly served in the US Army in Korea. In his free time, Bubba enjoyed getting outside to hunt and fish. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
Mr. Ross is survived by his wife of 59 years: Shirley Walker Ross; daughter: Michelle (Kevin) Presnell, High Springs, FL; brother: Bill Ross, Branford, FL; grandchildren: Ross (Kaley) Presnell; Kari (Tucker) Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Beatrice Griffin, Libby Hildreth and Lillian Terry.
There will be a visitation from 3:00 - 4:00 pm Friday, February 8, 2019 at First Baptist Church, Branford, FL. A funeral service immediately follows at 4:00 pm with Rev. Gordon Keller officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
