Harry Randall Petty

Harry Randall Petty, 60, of Live Oak, Florida, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019, at his home surrounded by close family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11 at Randall Scott's house, 3540 Northwest County Road 150, Jasper, FL 32052. Family and friends are welcome to come mingle and reminisce as Randall desired.

Randall was born October 21, 1958 in Tifton, Georgia to the late Henry and Helen (Hall) Petty. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors, basking in the sunshine and nature. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and was never inside for long. He spent most of his weekends fishing out on the Gulf and riding around on his airboat. He even made sure his jobs allowed him time outdoors, working as a Superintendent in the construction industry. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes and cornhole, reading novels and watching old movies, and he had a strong passion for big trucks. He spent time with his son and grandsons whenever he could. Randall could always be relied upon, and would come to your aid, whether family or friend.

Randall is survived by his son, Randall Scott Petty and his wife, Marsanne, of Jasper, FL; two grandsons, Richard Lane (Amanda), and Randall Thomas Petty; great grandson, Jackson Lane Petty; his brother, Michael (Sue) Petty, of Winter Haven, FL; and his sister, Teresa Petty, of Norman Park, GA; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Helen, and his son Richard "Ricky" Petty.
