Henry  LeGare Jr.


Henry LeGare Jr, 91, of Live Oak, Florida, passed away August 29, 2019 at Brookdale Becket Lake Assisted Living Facility in Clearwater, Florida.
He was born September 26, 1927, in Sharon, Massachusetts. He completed one year at Northeastern University and in February 1946 he was drafted into the Army Air Force. He served as an MP stationed at Wheeler Field in Hawaii and was discharged in May 1947. He attended the Aviation Training School in Boston and went to work for National Airlines. He married Lucille Anderson in 1954 and had two sons. Over the years he worked in numerous cites for National Airlines with his final destination in Tampa, FL. Pam American Airways took over National Airlines in 1979 and he retired in 1988.
In 1988, he and Lucille moved from Clearwater, FL to Live Oak, FL, and started a new life. In 1999, Lucille passed away and he remained in Live Oak as he had made many friends there and enjoyed his hobbies.
He is survived by his children, Thomas of Palm Harbor, FL and Michael of Clearwater, FL. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
His children are grateful for Hank's friends in Live Oak as they were like an extended family to him. They want to thank Community Hospice and Empath Hospice for the care provided to him before his passing.
