Jeffrey Johnson
Jeffrey Johnson, 47, Live Oak, FL passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019. The lifelong resident of Live Oak was a member of First Baptist Church of Live Oak where he was a leader for Awana's and served on multiple mission trips for the church, as well as serving as a past Deacon. Jeffrey graduated from Suwannee High School in 1989 and graduated from Florida A&M University in 1996. Jeffrey was a twenty-three year teacher, beginning his career at the Boy's Ranch in 1996 until 2002 where he was currently teaching for the Suwannee County School District. He began coaching baseball in 2002 for the rec league and recently coached at Suwannee High. He was loved by many students that he taught and coached. He was able to reach and help children through-out his career that others could not. He gave them guidance and assisted them inside and out of the classroom and off the field without ever wanting any recognition. He was also a father figure to many that never experienced that in their lives.

Jeffrey is survived by his wife of twenty-three years: Amy Johnson, Live Oak; parents: Jimmy & Gloria Johnson, Live Oak; son: Evan Johnson, Live Oak; sisters: Cindy (Vernon) Wiggins, Live Oak; Jennifer (J.D.) Curls, Live Oak; brother: James (Cindy) Johnson, Live Oak; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 4:00 pm Monday, December 2nd at First Baptist Church with Phillip Herrington officiating. There will be a visitation held prior to the service at the church from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Private family internment will be held in Live Oak Cemetery. Please sign the guestbook.

Jeffrey loved helping kids. Whether it was someone who needed a backpack, shoes, clothes or other basic essentials. We would like to continue his legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Jeffrey Johnson Memorial Fund at First Federal Bank.

Much to soon my friend, I will miss your smile and the laughs we shared in the hallways of Suwannee Middle School.
Thanks for being my friend.
