John Alfred Boatright, Sr., 85, of Jacksonville, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 15, 2017. The Live Oak, FL native was born on October 16, 1931. He was a faithful member of Glenwood Baptist Church, as well as, a retiree of the DOT, after 39 years of service. He enjoyed flea marketing and fishing, but most of all he loved his family. Poppa leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years, Annettee C. Boatright; daughter, Michelle Forrest (Ken); son, John Boatright, Jr. (Lois); grandchildren, Joseph, Hona, Randall (Sonya), Kimberly (Zach), Lois Ann (Jason), and Wendy; and great-grandchildren, Breeanna, Bailee, Atreyu, Ceaira, Jason, Jr., Melia, Ashton, and Paton; and brothers, Pete (Alice), Ronald (Ingrid), Spessard (JoAnn), and Sherwood; as well as, many beloved nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 19th at Daniels Funeral Home in Live Oak, FL, with Rev. Miller and Rev. O'Neal officiating; visitation will be prior to the service from 10 - 11 am. Interment will follow at Camp Branch Cemetery in Genoa, FL.
