John  Wiggins
John Wiggins, 84, of Live Oak, FL passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 in the North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, FL following a short illness. Mr. Wiggins was born in White Springs, FL on August 20, 1935 to Frank Staten and Sally Bell Powell Wiggins. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, was an Agency Manager for the Florida Farm Bureau Insurance Agency in Live Oak and Branford, FL, retiring from there after 31 years of service. His early profession included working at the First National Bank in Live Oak as Vice-President for 25 years. He was a 50 year member of the Live Oak Lions Club and a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Live Oak. He loved the University of Florida Gators and was affectionately known by many as "PAPA JOHN".

Survivors are his wife of almost 60 years, Ellinor N. Wiggins of Live Oak; two daughters: Sharon & David Jordan and Sarah & Mike Johnson both of Live Oak; one son: Tommy & Arlene Wiggins of Vero Beach, FL; three sisters: Nancy & Francis "Fran" Picker of Crestview, FL, Evelyn & Wilbert Altman of White Springs, FL and Myrtle Ann & Norman McElroy of Wellborn, FL; one brother: Thomas and Suezette Wiggins of Jasper, FL; five grandchildren: Eric, Jenna, Hannah, Brittany and Jay; five great-grandchildren: Brant, Kendall, Aubrey, Kamdyn and Kennedy.

Funeral Services for Mr. Wiggins will be conducted on Monday, Nov. 18, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the First Baptist Church, Live Oak, FL with Rev. Jim Robinette, Rev. Phillip Herrington and Dr. Steve Sweitzer officiating. A private graveside committal will follow in the Live Oak Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the church from 12 Noon until service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Food Ministry at the First Baptist Church, Live Oak, FL and/or Love, Inc., Live Oak, FL.
