June  Lee


Mrs. June Lee, 75, passed away on September 8, 2019 at Shands Medical Center in Gainesville, FL following an extended illness. She was born June 6, 1944 in Live Oak, Florida to Franklin Heweitt and Caroline Rosier Heweitt. She was of the Christian faith and lifelong homemaker. June was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and visiting with friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Caroline Heweitt, her husband, Harold Lee, and a son, Glenn Lee Jr.
She is survived by; 2 sons, Frank Lee, and wife Tonya, of Live Oak, FL, and Jason Lee, and wife Jessica, of Mayo, FL; 2 daughters, Samantha McCullers, and husband Keith, of Live Oak, and Tracy Wimberley, and husband Darren, of Mayo; 2 brothers, Ronald Heweitt (Mary), of Live Oak, and Winford Heweitt, of Wellborn, FL; 2 sisters, Flossie Harris, of Largo, FL, and Dorothy Ducksworth (Junior), of Mayo; 8 grandchildren, 2 granddaughter-in-laws, 2 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00PM on Friday, September 13, 2019 at Burns Funeral Home of Mayo with Bro. Daryl Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow immediately in the Historical Dowling Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 3:00 PM. All arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Mayo.
