Marine's Story

Mother Marine Williams, age 85, a resident of Live Oak, FL, passed away Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 at Haven Hospice Care Center in Lake City, FL. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a loyal and very faithful member of Greater New Bethel A.M.E. Church in Live Oak, FL. There, she wore many hats—she was a member of the culinary art committee, pastor's aide board and chairperson for stewardess board #1. She was an ordained deaconess.
Loving memories are left in the hearts and minds of her children, Louise (Terry) Brown, Live Oak, FL, Diane Fleming, Charlotte, NC, Edna M. Williams, Lakeland, FL, Helen (Herbert) Lester, Tampa, FL, Alice Palmer, Tallahassee, FL, Ann (Joey) Rix, Willie James (Teresa) Williams, Live Oak, FL, Alford (Jeannine) Williams, Tampa, FL; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, a hoist of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
The family will meet and greet friends Friday evening, Oct. 28 at Thomas Funeral Home Chapel from 5-7 p.m.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 29 at 11 a.m. at Greater New Bethel A.M.E. Church in Live Oak, FL. Rev. Albert Bivens, Pastor and officiating.
Bennie Thomas Funeral Home is in charge of all the arrangements.
