Owen "Frankie" Franklin Griffis, Sr., age 46, of Macclenny, Fla. passed away August 14, 2016 at his residence. He was born February 1, 1970 in Bartow, Fla. to Owen John Griffis, Sr. and Myrtie Mae Raulerson Griffis. Frankie was a lifelong resident of Macclenny, Fla. where he attended the Road to Calvary Church. He was a drywall installer as an independent contractor and was known by everyone as a hardworking man. Frankie was also known for being a big joker, he loved to laugh and make others around him laugh. More than anything Frankie loved his family and friends dearly. He is predeceased by his father.
Frankie is survived by his spouse, Juliana Hope Griffis of Live Oak, Fla.; children, Owen Franklin Griffis, Jr., Kayla Hope Griffis, and Bret Edward Griffis all of Live Oak, Fla.; brothers, Aubrey Dean Griffis of Macclenny, Fla., Owen John Griffis, Jr. of Ga., and Michael John Griffis of Orlando, Fla.; sister, Pamila Kaye (Jerry) Roebuck of Leoma, Tn.; grandchildren, Philip James "Jaymie" Griffis, Arminda Hope Watts.
A celebration of Frankie's life will be held on Thursday, August 18 at 11 a.m. at V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services with Pastor Tommy Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The arrangements are under the care and direction of V.
