Pearlie's Story

Pearlie Mae Walker, 88, Live Oak, FL passed away on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017. The life-long Suwannee County native owned/operated the Greyhound Bus Station in Live Oak for 20 years and also worked at the Holiday Inn in Lake City, FL as front desk supervisor for 40 years. She was also a member of Westwood Baptist Church in Live Oak for 70 years.
Mrs. Walker is survived by her daughter, Vivian Starling, Live Oak, FL; son, Hilton John (Teresa) Walker, Jr., Perry, FL; eight grandchildren, Amber (Jeff) Anderson, Will (Jessica) Starling, Branson Starling, January (Nat) Tuten, Pat (Carrie) Allbritton, Bryan (Luanne) Howard, Derrick Howard, Kristina Howard and fourteen great-grandchildren. Services were held Sunday, Feb. 5 at Westwood Baptist Church with Dr. Ben Bush and Rev. David McKeithen officiating. There was a visitation held prior to the service at the church. Interment followed in Live Oak Cemetery.
