Rin's Story

Rin Dickinson was born August 15, 1933 in Opp, Alabama. He served as a cook in the US Army / Army Reserve. He and his wife Estelle met August 15, 1955 in Clearwater. They moved to Live Oak, Florida in 1965 where he owned and operated Dickinson Body Works. He is survived by the love of his life, Estelle. He and Estelle were married 61 years. They have three beautiful children, Candice (Keith) Hudson of Lake City, FL, Charles (Rachel) Dickinson of Live Oak, FL, & Renae (Jayson) Williams of Madison, FL. He has 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother Ray (Deborah) Dickinson of Istachatta, FL, and two sisters, Betty Murray of Clearwater, FL, Charlene Carson of Virginia and many nieces, nephews and friends. Rin was an avid fisherman with a great love for life. He loved having fish fries, making funnel cakes, cooking pork skins & grilling for local fundraisers. He was a member of The Moose lodge and The Elks lodge. He was also a member of the "Round Table" coffee crew at Jay's restaurant for many years and then transferred membership to Robbie's Café to reside on their coffee crew "council." Rin attended Westwood Baptist Men's Sunday School group. A memorial service will be held at 5:30 pm Tuesday, January 30th at Daniels Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tim Carver, Rev. Charles Istre and Mr. Wyatt O'Neal officiating. There will be a visitation held prior to the service from 4:30-5:30 pm.
