Rita "Dixie" Corbett, 89, of Live Oak, FL passed away on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016 following a long illness. The New Iberia, LA native move to Live Oak 47 years ago from Merritt Island, FL. Dixie was an avid bowler and was a long time member of the Women's Bowling Association as well as many leagues in the different areas that she lived. She was a member of the Pine Grove United Methodist Church where she was very involved in the Women's Ministry.
Dixie is survived by her husband of 36 years, Norman Corbett, Live Oak; daughter, Paula Tucker (John F.), Rockledge, FL; sons, Jimmy Corbett (Ellen), Live Oak, FL, John Corbett, Los Angeles, CA; brother, Gerald "Bobby" Landry, LA; five grandchildren, Carrie Tucker, Clay Corbett, Trevor Corbett, Allyson Huggins and Kayle Huggins; numerous nieces and nephews; one godchild, Jessica "Lulu" Hinkle.
Services were Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church. Interment followed at church cemetery. Rev. Ben Richards officiated the services.
