Rosemary's Story

Rosemary Pearl Hall Davis died at the age of 83 on Dec. 25, 2016 at the home of her daughter in Mooresville, NC with her loving family by her side. She married Malcolm Gerald Davis on Mar. 11, 1951. She lived a long and healthy life and enjoyed her retirement years by visiting her many children and grandchildren in NY, NC and FL.
The body was cremated in Mooresville, NC and will be buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Camden, NY.
She is survived by six daughters and Mrs. David (Joyce) Cheal, Mrs. Milton (Helen) Lily, Laura Davis and her partner Chloe Chadderdon all of Camden, NY. Linda Davis of Branford, FL, Mrs. Timothy (Anita) Surphlis of Mooresville, NC. Mrs. Christopher Mike (Janet) Stiles of McAlpin, FL and four sons James and Deborah Davis, Brian Davis of Lake City, FL, Larry Davis of Verona, NY and Malcolm Jr and Betsy Davis of Camden, NY.
She is survived by two brothers, Charles H and Lucky Hall of Antwerp, NY and Philip and Sheila Hall of Taberg, NY and her special friend she called her sister, Shelba Anderson of Live Oak, FL.
She blessed with 24 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Malcolm G Davis Sr. in 1986, her son Bruce Davis in 1973 and predeceased by many grandchildren of which she will be joining in heaven.
She was born in Theresa, NY on Aug. 23, 1933 to Charles Crary Hall and Mary E. Whitford Hall of Antwerp, NY.
She graduated valedictorian in 1950 from Antwerp High School in Antwerp, NY.
She lived in Camden, NY from 1958 to 1981. She was a member of Camden United Methodist Church. She was employed by Camden Wire Incorporated in Camden, NY and retired in 1981. She moved to Lake City, FL where she took care of her disabled husband and sold AVON. She earned her CNA diploma from Lake City Community College in 1995. She worked for Advent Christian Village Nursing Home, Dowling Park, FL and spent many years taking care of the elderly in their homes.
