William's Story

William Dale Clark, 69, born on Nov. 4, 1947 passed away peacefully in his Live Oak home on Jan. 8, 2017. He was a meat cutter by trade and formerly a business owner in Columbia, SC. Mr. Clark loved football and was an avid Gamecock fan. He loved outdoors, gardening and tending to his goats. He was known for his witty sense of humor. He loved family and friend gatherings.
In 1996, Mr. Clark returned home to visit family members and met the love of his life, his wife Sherrie. Mr. Clark was an active member of the Fort White Church of God. He loved his church and his church family.
Mr. Clark is preceded by his parents, W. D. Clark and Oleta Johnson Clark; brother, Raymond L. Clark and sister, Wynell Clark Rogers.
Mr. Clark was survived by his wife, Sherrie McCray Clark; two brothers, Franklin D. Clark of Columbia, SC and Jared J. Clark, of Elgin, SC; daughter, Amy Clark Connell; two grandsons, Forrest L. Jackson and Jake T. Jackson and son-in-law Mark Connell, all of Live Oak, FL.
A memorial service will be held for Mr. Clark at 5 p.m. Jan. 14, 2017 at the Fort White Church of God. Services will be officiated by Bishop H. Fred McCray and Reverend Stephanie Morgan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Haven Hospice Suwannee Care Center at 6037 West Hwy 90, Lake City, FL 32055.
