Anna R. Willis, age 84, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 in her home surrounded by her daughters: Brenda Newell of Live Oak, Fla., Sandra Clifton (Jimmy Foster) of Jefferson City, Tn., Debra Ellis (Dale) of Auburndale, Fla., and Jamie Hunt of O'Brien, Fla. Mrs. Willis was formerly from Morristown, Tn., Deland, Fla. and O'Brien, Fla., her last place of residence. She has 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mrs. Willis is preceded in death by her husband, James Willis; her parents, Ed and Lennie Sawyer; and siblings, Belus Sawyer, Ernest (Mima) Sawyer, Mary (Bill) Lawless, Junior (Pat) Sawyer and Fred (Katie) Sawyer.
Mrs. Willis was a member of Eastern Star Chapter in Deland, Fla. Her internment will be the Florida National Cemetery alongside her husband. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Nature Coast, Dr. Kyle Wright, O'Brien Baptist Church, Matsuo Industries USA, Inc. and those that have expressed sympathy and condolences.
Mamaw was best known for her generosity, her wit and her fabulous cooking! There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
