Annie Pearl Creech Wood, age 87, passed away at Suwannee Health Care and Rehab Center in Live Oak on May 23, 2017. Annie Pearl was born on September 24, 1929, in Opp, Alabama to Will and Nora Creech. She was one of nine children and was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Marvin, Ollie, Clevie, Alton, Edward and Jack, and her sisters, Annis Edwards and Martha Ellen Turner. She was married to Lonnie Bert Wood of Live Oak for over 50 years when Lonnie passed away in 1998. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Bass (Stevan) and her son, Steve Wood (Susan) of Live Oak; four grandchildren, Laura Katherine Roberts (Troy), Emily Blackmon (Josh), Will Wood, and Layne Wood, and two great grandchildren, Lucy Kate and Caroline Roberts. Annie Pearl loved children and was known to many as "Nana." She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing rummy, jigsaw puzzles, and gardening. She was a Christian and enjoyed gospel music and a number of trips with her sisters to Gaither concerts. A visitation will be held at Daniels Funeral Home on Saturday, May 27, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; funeral services will be at Daniels Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, May 28 at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Crawford Lake Cemetery in Live Oak.
