Betty Grace Love, 84, of Live Oak, passed away at her home on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016 following a long illness. She was a Florida native and moved to Live Oak 56 years ago from Orlando. The daughter of David Ira and Alice Martha Tillis Whatley, Sr. was born on Mar. 26, 1932. She was a retired CNA where she worked for the Templeton Nursing Home in Jasper, Fla. for over 30 years, the J. Ralph Smith Health Care Center in Dowling Park where she worked for 25 years and was a home health care nurse for several years. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Live Oak.
She is survived by her daughter, Annie Virginia Waits (David) of Live Oak; daughter-in-law, Sissy Love of Live Oak; two sons, Tony Love (Angela) of Glen St. Mary and John Davy Love (Helen Frances) of Jasper; one sister, Wanda Sharon Vonnell of Live Oak; nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Love, son, William Randall Love, granddaughter, Connie Grace Horne and parents, David Ira and Alice Martha Whatley, Sr.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8 in the Daniels Memorial Chapel in Live Oak with Rev. Mike Townsend officiating. Interment will follow in the Orange Baptist Church Cemetery, Live Oak.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7 at the funeral home.
