Mr. Carl Noble Jackson, age 95, of Starke formerly of Tampa and Bradford, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 in Tampa. Carl was born on June 12, 1921 in Drumright, OK to the late Carl Preston and Clara Faye (Haworth) Jackson and moved to Starke in 1999 from Branford. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a master carpenter and cabinet maker. Carl was a Presbyterian by faith and known by his family as a "Jack of All Trades" with a passion for ballroom dancing. Preceding him in death was his first wife, Evelyn Jackson and his siblings, Neal Wesley Jackson, Maxwell Jackson, and Vern Jackson. Survivors are: his wife of 18 years Ressie (Dowling) Griffith Jackson of Starke, sons: Larry Jackson (Tina) of Patrick Springs, VA, and David Jackson (Becky) of St. Petersburg, step-children, Donnie Griffith, Mark Griffith (Julia) both of Starke and Cindy Snell (Gylum) of Middleburg. Also left behind are his ten grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Dewitt C. Jones Chapel on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with funeral services beginning at 11 o'clock. Interment will follow at 2:30 P.M. in Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery, County Road 267 in Suwannee County. Arrangements are by JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME OF STARKE 904-964-6200.
