Everett L. Williamson, Sr. was born September 28, 1923 in Providence, Florida. He was educated in Union County schools, graduating at 16 years of age. His first job was in the Civil Conservation Corps (CCC), working in various locations in Florida and California. He enlisted in the US Army in 1943 and served as a pilot in the Pacific Theatre. He maintained a lifelong passion for flying.
After the war, he returned to Florida and completed his education at the University of of Florida. He was a lifelong educator with a passion for teaching well beyond his career. He served as a classroom teacher, a juvenile counselor, principal and county superintendent. Truly bi-vocational, he preached for many congregations and taught countless Bible classes. His favorite past time was conversations with friends and family about a multitude of interests.
Mr. Williamson is survived by his wife, Jean; sons, Mark Faulkner and Len (Mary Ann) Williamson and daughter, Gail (Joel) Chandler and brother, Colin Williamson. He had five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
