Mr. John Myron Holmes, a resident of Suwannee County and St. Augustine, died at Flagler Hospital on Tuesday, June 27, 2017. He was born in Dunedin, FL on October 13, 1945 to Thelma (Thomas) Holmes and Perry A. Holmes. Myron was City Manager of Live Oak for 20 years. He graduated from Suwannee High School and the Florida State University. Myron was a devoted Seminoles football fan and an avid golfer. Myron enjoyed life to its fullest and will be missed by everyone. He is survived by his wife: Kaye; son: John Jaret Holmes of Atlanta, GA; step-sons: Brody Harris, Iv (Aimee), Rusty Wadsworth, DMD (Dr. Lisa Wadsworth) of Ocala and Chad Wadsworth of Ocala; sisters: Lois Jean Holmes (Victor Lachica, Ph.D),Live Oak, Elaine Holmes of Tampa; sister-in-law: Betty Ann Kinard (Jerry) of Live Oak; brother-in-law: Johnny Murrah (Vangie) of Live Oak; nephew: George Quraishi (Shea) of Tampa and niece: Joanna Quraishi of Los Angeles, CA. Myron was beloved and he will be missed by all. Services will be held at 5 pm Saturday, July 1 at First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Friday, June 30th at Daniels Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 pm.
