Juanita Frances Lawson, 71, of Live Oak, Fla., passed away peacefully Wednesday, Mar. 16, 2016 at North Fla. Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, Fla. after an extended illness.
She was born in Live Oak, Fla. to the late James Washington and the late Willie Mae Twiggs Washington on July 30, 1944.
Mrs. Lawson was a faithful member of Ebenezer A.M.E. Church.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving daughter, Cynthia Rena Washington, two grandchildren: Derrick Donta, Jasmine Sapp, Casey D. Cason of Live Oak, Fla. Three great-grandchildren, one sister, Ruby Royal, two brothers, Dan Washington Sr., of Ocala, Fla. Alphonso (Pat) Washington, of Arcedia, Fla. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lawson will be Saturday, Mar. 26 at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer A.M.E. Church. Rev. Charles Graham pastor and officiating.
The family will meet and greet friends Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Bennie Thomas Funeral Home chapel.
Interment will be in the South Live Oak Cemetery in Live Oak, Fla.
Bennie Thomas Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
