Kenneth Lee Hinton, 57, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017 at Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, Florida.
Kenny grew up in Pinellas Park, FL. He graduated from Dixie Hollins High School in St. Petersburg, FL. He attended St. Petersburg College where he received an Associates of Arts Degree. Kenneth joined the United States Army where he served in the 61st Military Police Company, during the Cold War in Germany. For 20 years he was a master tile and marble mechanic in Pinellas County, FL. He raced at the Sunshine Speedway in the Enduro class for five years in the early 90's. He then moved to Live Oak, FL where he served as a Correctional Officer for 10 years, working at Columbia, Sumter and Mayo Correctional Institutions.
Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Larry Eugene Hinton, his mother, Norma J. Hinton, and his sister, Sharia Hinton.
Kenny is survived by his loving spouse of 31 years, Sheila Lynn Hinton; son, Christopher Lee Hinton; twin daughters, Brooke Dale Hinton and Sara Nicole Hinton and his sister, Michelle Woodman.
A visitation will be held at Daniels Funeral Home, 1126 Ohio Ave North, Live Oak, FL. 32064. 5-7 p.m., Friday Jan. 13, 2017. Graveside services will be held at Live Oak Cemetery, 110 Winderweedle St. NW, Live Oak, FL. Saturday 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at First Advent Christian Church, Live Oak, 699 Pinewood Drive SW, Live Oak, FL.
