Roberta's Story

Roberta "Bobbie" Sasser was born September 26, 1950 to Joseph Carr II and Jean Carr of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She attended John Harris High School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She retired after 20+ years from the V.A. hospital in Lake City as an LPN. She was preceded in death by both her parents and one brother Patrick Carr. She is survived by her husband of 33 years Randall Wayne Sasser of Live Oak, Fla. Two brothers Joseph Carr Ill, Michael Carr, and her three children Dawn Sasser of Live Oak, Fla.; Tina Crone (Ronnie) of Live Oak, and Scott Sasser of Live Oak. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Christopher Sasser, Timmy Retherford (Savannah), Kaleb, Scott Jr, and Randi Jean Sasser of Live Oak, Skylar, Arianna, and Terk all of Live Oak. Bobbie, as she was affectionately known, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. Bobbie enjoyed traveling with her best friend and husband Randy and she never met a stranger. She truly lived for her children and she will be dearly missed.
Memorial services will take place at the family's household, 5761 159th Dr., Live Oak, on Saturday, May 14 at 12 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3596 S. HWY 441, Lake City. (386) 752-1954.
